It is with great pleasure that I recommend the services of Realtor® Jose Rodriguez. In December 2011 the real estate environment in central Florida was like none that we had ever experienced, particularly with home values down about 50% from when we initially purchased our home. Being faced with a short sale situation was the last thing we expected when we moved to Florida and purchased our new home in 2006. However, the economy forced us into a situation that we had to move to another state in order to find comparable employment.
I have worked in the mortgage industry for over 30 years, and thought that I would be able to navigate the process without any issues. However, after one very frustrating call to our servicing lender it was obvious that we would need help. Jose had developed a very good reputation in our area, and he was the first real estate professional that we contacted. It was obvious from our first meeting that Jose had become an expert not only on our local market area, but also the entire short sale process. He was able to describe the steps that we would need to take, set realistic expectations for the timing of each step, and provide us with all the necessary paperwork and checklists to make the process as simple as possible. Also, by working closely with a local title company, Jose was able to handle all of the direct communication with our lender, virtually eliminating the stress involved with us handling that directly. In addition, Jose prepared a professional market analysis to assist us with establishing our listing price for the home.
We were very impressed with Jose’s knowledge and professionalism, and the fact that he put no pressure on us to list with him. We chose Jose as our Realtor® and provided him with the necessary documentation to deal directly with our lender. The result was that we received a qualified offer on our home within a few weeks of the listing, and closed on the short sale (while achieving the goals we established at our first meeting) in less that four months from start to finish. While this timing may seem lengthy, we knew many people in similar situations whose short sale process took a year or more.
It is with absolutely no hesitation that I recommend the real estate services of Jose Rodriguez. He is a consummate professional, and embodies the spirit of the Realtor® designation.
